I am a homeschooling mom of 3 boys ages 4,6, and 8. I also work part-time as an RN. I came up with the idea for the Parking Pal after my 3rd son was born. I was tired of being in parking lots and constantly telling the other two kids to "stay by the car" or "stand right here" while I was unlocking the door and getting the baby in. I felt like a broken record. I knew there had to be some easy was to keep kids in a "safe spot" in parking lots. The idea of the Parking Pal popped into my head one night. I called my mom and we became business partners.
The positive feedback has been my motivation to keep going. It is my passion to make all parents aware of the dangers in parking lots and that there is a simple, inexpensive solution. It only takes a second for a tragedy to occur.

With drivers of SUV's having an increasingly difficult time seeing young children around their vehicle, and children rarely paying attention to their surroundings, there is a real potential for injury to children in parking lots. A child will quickly learn that this is their safe spot when stepping out of the vehicle or upon returning to the vehicle. It also helps teach children responsibility in parking lots and around moving vehicles.
Loading or unloading packages, rifling for keys, tending to the baby, or any number of distractions can and will distract us from our children in parking lots.
