About The Inventor:
Linda Ylisela and Sharon Christian,
It was probably inevitable that Sharon Christian would one day go under the knife. As a sales executive, the years of toting heavy bags finally caught up to her. She tore her rotator cuff, successful surgery followed, but she never anticipated how slow and painful recuperation would be. Linda Ylisela took care of Sharon during the first week of her recovery. The two women are longtime friends, but they are also entrepreneurs, each having owned and managed their own businesses.
An idea was born. On 4/1/09, Linda and Sharon launched The Sling Clozet, a web-based store dedicated to providing comfort and style for those with arm/shoulder injuries, temporary or permanent disabilities and stroke and oncology patients.
Despite all of the advances in medical technology, they learned that no one had ever thought to improve on the one thing people need most: An arm sling that fits!
