About The Inventor:
Anne Brunell,
inventor

I am an inventor, business owner, and a mother of two great kids.  We live in Seattle, Washington.  I originally developed the VirtueGame for my son's second grade class, and it quickly took on a life of its own.  I spent two years developing and testing the game in schools all up and down the west coast.  Since then, it has been enjoyed by families, brownie troops, schools, camps, and at corporations and conventions.  It has received awards and been sold in English speaking countries all over the world.  It feels great to be in the process of creating a business that brings out the best in kids.

Winner of the National Parenting Association Seal of Approval!

The only thing better than modeling character for our kids is showing them that they posess those virtues, too!  The VirtueGame is a fun, Bingo-style card game that focuses on ten virtues: compassion, respect, enthusiasm, trust, friendliness, determination, responsibility, integrity, cooperation and thankfulness.  The VirtueGame makes virtues easy to understand because players get to see themselves performing the virtues .  Kids learn while they play, and it helps them internalize what the virtues mean.  The word "play" is important - the game is social, interactive and silly.  It teaches by surprise.

To win the game, kids have to earn five out of the ten virtues by completing the tasks described on each card they draw.  For example, a "Thankfulness" card asks the player to hold their breath for as long as they can.  When they are finished, they card asks; "Aren't you thankful to breathe again?" and reminds the player to be thankful for things that we sometimes take for granted.  Tasks often have to be completed cooperatively and require respectful listening to other players.

For ages 5-13 (reading assistance required for young players). Playtime is 20 minutes.  2-6 players.  This game is made in the U.S.A.
